Sudania Themas

Sudania Themas

Sudania was born into a poor family living in Invardia's undercity, where she would learn the skills necessary to take care of herself and those she loved. Sudania served in the Invardium Milita Legion for twelve years, fighting alongside Evitt Felton for two of those years. Despite not being a Mana Caster, he quickly advanced through the ranks in a matter of a few years. Usura's Assault This was the battle that earned Themas a seat in the Jadeth Council to much celebration in Invardia. Valiantly leading the front against the Mechabeast, she invented a strategy that would forever impact the way Invardia would defend their empire. Mana pumping had been a thing for many decades leading up to the assault, but the infrastructure necessary for Mana Casters to employ it was flimsy at best. Mana would be carried from pump stations in buckets to the site at which Mana Casters would be stationed. Some neglected sites lacked the necessary equipment, so the Mana would instead be carried by other Mana Casters; Mana Casters that would be more valuable on the front lines. Frustrated by the inefficient methods of transporting Mana at the time, she devised a plan that was far more efficient; Mana would be pumped directly to the stations that needed it the most, where they would spill out onto large slabs of concrete. The Mana would collect as shallow pools from which the Mana Casters could draw from. Some more important stations would instead have large pools of Mana deep into the surface, which would be covered over with grates to prevent people from falling in and needing to be fished out. Personality “ She's an unusual breed, but she'll do anything for Invardia. I admire that about her. ” —Hularia Munipet Emotionally Distant Sudania has a strong hold on her emotions, not daring to let them bare to anyone; Her time in the Militia hardened her, forging a woman capable of running an empire. She remains calm and collected, her thoughts and temperament carefully controlled. This is not to say she lacks feeling, simply that rather than permitting it to control her, she weaponizes her emotions in her favor, emphasizing what must be emphasized and redirecting emotions unfitting of the task at hand toward progress. Never is she to be seen crying, nor is she to be seen engaging in fits of rage - both emotions she suppresses so as to better serve her nation. Optimistic In contrast to her sturdy exterior, Sudania's primary driving force is her optimistic mentality. She firmly believes not only in the good of her people of Invardia, but in the good of all in Vanquera. She refuses to acknowledge that evil ever triumphs, always seeking justice. She actively puts herself in danger when it is necessary of her, much to the dismay of the rest of the Jadeth Council members and many others around her. Selfless Sudania spends every waking moment in service of her empire, to the point that it is taking a toll on her well-being. She has no hobbies, doesn't take part in social activities such as sports and parties, or do anything else of the like. She has a hard time forming relationships as a result. She is aware of the benefits relationships and activities offer her, but will always choose her empire first. Steadfast Ever-loyal to the nation she lives in, Sudania fights for the founding principles upon which Invardia was built. The history of Invardia and its founding are of tremendous importance and must be studied in great detail. Sudania does not waver when it comes to holding true to the foundations upon which Invardia were built, even if it means upsetting those less beholden to those founding principles. She is uncompromising and strong with words, though at times her drive to resolve issues in a timely manner ends up resulting in a much too hasty execution. Even when the temptation to throw in the towel is overwhelming and doubt is creeping in, Sudania always manages to persevere. Self-righteous Optimism and a steadfast mindset, while each powerful tools in their own right, don't always add up to something positive. Despite the admiration her peers have for her, Sudania is not without vice, often finding herself all too focused on one line of reasoning. Breaking her out of her fanaticism is a position her peers assume with moderate frequency. She possesses the self-awareness necessary to recognize that there is always room for error. She is not so single-minded that she cannot be reasoned with, but oftentimes she will pursue a path until it is well beyond exhaustion. At times she feels the need to disregard the necessary act of waiting. Without the interference of those of a more patient mentality, she may come across more reckless and impatient than she intends. Blindsighted Ever-trusting and loyal to her friends, Sudania isn't immune to being backstabbed. Once her trust is earned, it takes a great deal to break it. Unless she is directly confronted with the possibility her friend may be the culprit of a crime or similar act, she will never consider such possibilities on her own. This does not mean she lacks the capacity to recognize when her trust was misplaced. Relationships Sudania met her long-time friend Teska Luru prior to their service in the Invardium Militia. Their time spent together in the Militia strengthened their bond greatly, and so their friendship would last for many years. Despite having made a few friends throughout her life, she has a difficult time forming relationships, especially since her induction into the Jadeth Council. She feels her empire needs her far more than she needs friends, and as such has slowly pushed her friends away to the point they might say they don't know her anymore.
