Aurelia Thaofosho

Aurelia "Gilded" Spangold Thaofosho is an animancer of significant influence in Invardia and a member of House Thaofosho.
Though each member of the Thaofosho family is considered to possess incredible beauty, Aurelia is said to be in a league of her own. She carries herself with grace, her every step carefully considered. Aurelia, born to an esteemed noble family, has access to the best resources in all of Vanquera. She takes great care in how she presents herself, understanding her place as more than a woman, but also as a status symbol of her class. She dresses as one might expect of the nobility, though she also takes great care in presenting as mortal and fallible. The materials used to make her attire are of the highest quality; Comfortable, flattering, functional, and even pragmatic for animancy should it be necessary. She infuses her garments in a number of ways, such as making them stay in place, difficult to tear, and resistant to filth.
Generous, patient, and merciful, Aurelia is looked up to by the people of Invardia as a paragon. The power Aurelia possesses does not compromise her compassionate nature. She speaks to everyone as though they were equals, treating all fairly and justly. She sees all life as precious and worth preserving, no matter how insignificant they may seem to others. Few have known the wrath of Aurelia. Should one be put in harm's way in Aurelia's presence, best bet she will stop at nothing to make it right.
In times past, Aurelia has been known to falter. Despite the best her parents could do, Aurelia experienced her own share of hardships in her youth. With each instance, she has found it difficult to not blame herself. "If only I had been there." She'd tell herself, thinking she'd be able to right a wrong. Though she's quick to hand out forgiveness to even the most wicked of sorts, she finds herself incapable of forgiving herself. She's seen death time and time again, and each time it shakes her to her core. She mourns for days or weeks at a time, leaving her chambers only as absolutely necessary. She descends into long, deep, dark depressions often, as the standards she holds herself to are unrealistic and unachievable. It takes a great deal of effort to bring her out of these mental states, but she always comes back with the same strength and fervor she is known for.
Aurelia is the oldest of four, with her siblings being Argenta, Cypria, and Corbaine in that order. Aurelia is always reminding her sisters of why they do what they do, grounding them in reality and keeping them humble and accountable. She finds her sister's ambitions concerning at times, as they can get rather caught up in their own heads about how to best provide for Invardia.
Argenta is the second eldest sister.
Cypria is Argenta's younger sister. When they had been younger, they had a subtle rivalry that eventually subsided as they matured.
Corbaine Junior is Argenta's little brother, named after their father. Aurelia is close with Corbaine, sharing wisdom and experience with each other as they need it.
Aurelia is the daughter of Corbaine Thaofosho Senior and Rubicia Thaofosho. Though Corbaine Sr. is a non-animancer and Rubicia is an animancer of low ability, they worked hard to ensure Aurelia had the training in animancy she needed growing up. Their loving and compassionate natures made them already beloved figures among the Houses, but they weren't nearly as respected as their daughters would come to be. They tried to shield their children from criticism as best they could, but they could only do so much. They didn't wish to coddle their children, nor did they wish to batter and berate them, working to make sure they knew they were loved and adored despite failure. Rubicia and Corbaine Sr. did not force their ambitions upon their children. Aurelia, being their first child, acted as a means of testing their parenting abilities. They learned a lot via Aurelia, which they would carry forward onto their next children. While Aurelia harbored some frustrations with her parents in her youth, she has come to forgive them of their prior naivety, growing close with her parents.
Rubicia Thaofosho is Argenta's mother.
Corbaine Thaofosho Senior is Argenta's father.
