Exostationary Suit

An exostationary suit is a form-fit, full-body suit that allows the wearer to place any item they wish into the air around them, regardless of the object's weight. With the current technology, each must be tailored special to its wearer and requires lots of calibration for one to work properly.

Exostationary suits are powered by standard anima cells, which are most often located on the hip, shoulder, or chest depending on the wearer's preference so they can be easily removed or replaced as needed. The anima is then extracted from the cell and circulated through a complex network of channels all throughout the suit, allowing objects to remain in the air around the wearer. The number of cells the suit can use at once can be customized as well.

Obtaining a properly fitted, calibrated, and quality-tested exostationary suit requires a hefty purchase. Only those of Invardium noble lineage or otherwise of the elite classes can afford such a purchase with regularity.

Usage

When placing items into the exostationary field of the suit, it's generally recommended one doesn't place them along one's appendages unless they are commonly used tools. This is to prevent items from coming into contact with each other and drifting significantly when moving about.

When an anima cell starts to run low on anima, the objects placed into the exostationary field may start to drift. This can be dangerous if not kept close track of. Exostationary suit wearers must be extra cautious with the items around them should their anima cells run low. Most exostationary suits are fitted with visual indicators and an additional auditory warning system, both of which also being custom to the wearer. Some may come with some sort of vibration feature, like around the arm or at the neck as another indicator. Most wearers will take additional anima cells with them in case they need to use them.

Some additional customizations include using gestures to connect/disconnect certain items, or even enable/disable the suit on a whim. Certain users might even go out of their way to create positions. For example, the user could flick their wrists outward and all of the items are maneuvered behind the user, allowing them to see in front of them. Or, another example, the user might want to place all items in the field gently on the ground. They could gesture this, or do the opposite to lift all of the items back up off the ground. As another example, the user could have all items affected by the field fly into a circular, rotating formation around the user so they may select the item they wish, all with a simple clap. The possibilities are potentially limitless.
